Hardware: You need a computer or tablet, thermal printer (80mm for receipts), barcode scanner, and cash drawer. Budget NPR 50,000-80,000 for quality hardware that lasts. Brands available in Nepal: TVS, Epson, Zebra.
Software setup: Install your POS software, configure tax rates (VAT 13%), set up product catalog with barcodes, create user accounts with permissions, and configure receipt templates with your PAN/VAT numbers.
Staff training: Train on basic sales, returns, discounts, end-of-day closing, and what to do when internet is down. Practice with dummy transactions first.
Go-live checklist: Test all hardware, verify tax calculations, print sample receipts, ensure offline mode works, and have support contact ready. Start with one terminal, then expand.
Common mistakes: Skipping staff training, not testing offline mode, using cheap hardware that breaks quickly, and forgetting to configure IRD-compliant receipt formats.

लाइभ चेकलिस्ट: सबै हार्डवेयर परीक्षण गर्नुहोस्, कर गणना प्रमाणित गर्नुहोस्, नमूना रसिद छाप्नुहोस्, अफलाइन मोड काम गर्छ भनी सुनिश्चित गर्नुहोस्, र सहयोग सम्पर्क तयार राख्नुहोस्। एक टर्मिनलबाट सुरु गर्नुहोस्, त्यसपछि विस्तार गर्नुहोस्।
सामान्य गल्ती: कर्मचारी तालिम छोड्ने, अफलाइन मोड परीक्षण नगर्ने, छिट्टै बिग्रने सस्तो हार्डवेयर प्रयोग गर्ने, र IRD-अनुकूल रसिद ढाँचा कन्फिगर गर्न बिर्सने।
